The new creative director of PAULE KA revisits the House’s codes
Since her arrival at PAULE KA in July, and before presenting the first Autumn-Winter Collection 2016-17
in March during Paris Fashion Week, Alithia Spuri-Zampetti reinterprets the style of the French house
with a Capsule Collection.
The black and white, the bold colour mix, the graphic
details, the ‘60s, the bow, the couture volumes, the
trapeze dress, the dress for every occasion, from day
to evening, are the iconic staples of PAULE KA’s woman
wardrobe. For this Capsule Collection, the new creative
director has updated these pieces in a contemporary
way, maintaining the unique and recognisable style of the
house, taking a first step towards the creation of a new
vocabulary for the brand.
The bow, symbol of the house, is still present but re-thought
as a tie, as a fabric insert that creates an optical illusion
or as an accent on accessories. The ruffle has also been
reworked, piped on a trapeze dress, inserted on a plastron
of a jacket or on a bag handle, to give a preppy touch to
the everyday pieces. Touches of graphic colour in the form
of sewn-in borders or belts cut and frame the silhouettes.
The House of PAULE KA represents a contemporary vision
of the classic Parisian elegance : bon-ton, feminine and
irreverent.
This Capsule collection will soon be available in the
PAULE KA Boutiques and in selected stores.
